Incomplete. A contact address for privacy requests hasn't been added yet.
This policy covers the pre-launch website at simpledomainmanager.com and its waitlist. SimpleDomainManager isn't available to use yet; the product will have its own privacy policy before the beta.
Who is responsible
The website and waitlist are operated by the founder of SimpleDomainManager ("we").
What we collect
- Your email address.
- Your answers on the waitlist form: roughly how many domains you manage, which description fits you, and, only if you choose to answer, how you track domains today, whether a domain has expired unexpectedly, your biggest headache, whether you're open to a research call, and which planned plan interested you.
- A record of your consent: the date and time you agreed, and which version of the wording you saw.
- How you found us: campaign tags in the link you used (UTM parameters) and the website address (domain only) that referred you.
- Technical data used to protect the form: your IP address is used briefly to limit repeated sign-ups. We store it only as a one-way keyed hash inside short-lived counters, never as the address itself.
We don't ask for your domain names, prices or payment details. The website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies, and our fonts are hosted on our own site.
Why we use it
- To confirm that the email address belongs to you (we send a confirmation link first).
- To invite you to the private beta and send occasional updates about the product, because you asked us to. That's our legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- If you ticked the research-call box, to invite you to a short call.
- To decide which kinds of users and plans to build for first. We look at these answers in summary, not to profile you.
- To protect the waitlist from abuse, such as automated sign-ups.
How the confirmation works
After you submit the form, we send one email with a confirmation link. Until you confirm, your sign-up stays "pending" and we won't send you anything else. If you don't confirm within 30 days, we delete the pending sign-up automatically.
Who processes it for us
- Hosting and storage: Interserver, Inc. (server and database) and Cloudflare, Inc. (DNS, network delivery and attack protection). To deliver the website and protect it from attacks, the host also processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details.
- Email delivery: Resend, Inc..
These providers process data on our behalf and may store it outside your country, including in the United States. We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else.
How long we keep it
- Unconfirmed sign-ups: deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Confirmed sign-ups: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and no longer than 12 months after the public launch if you don't become a customer.
- After you unsubscribe: we delete your form answers immediately and keep only your email address, your status and the relevant dates, so we can respect your choice and never email you by mistake. Ask us if you want that removed too.
- Rate-limit counters: deleted within 2 days. Email delivery logs (which contain no email addresses): deleted after 90 days.
Your choices and rights
Every waitlist email after the confirmation email has an unsubscribe link, and most email apps also show a one-click unsubscribe button. You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data. Depending on where you live (for example the EU or UK), you may also have the right to object, to receive a copy of your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Confirmation links contain a random token that we store only as a hash, and they expire. Access to the subscriber list is restricted to the operator and protected by a secret key.
Children
The waitlist isn't intended for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. For significant changes, we'll tell confirmed waitlist members by email.
